"Carry-Age"
Sound and Visual Art Installation
(May 2019, EXTRA - Museo Leone, Vercelli, Italy)

www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkPggVG_J_w&t=39s

Carriage and Guitar of the eighteenth century, composition with sounds obtained from the two installation objects (percussion on the carriage and contact mics; sounds of the baroque guitar) (8:33 minutes loop), fabrics, two speakers, lights.

"A Carriage of the late eighteenth century that transported Napoleon. Its ancient wooden wheels are revived today, transforming themselves into percussion instruments. The percussion of the hands on the wood and on the body of the carriage are captured by contact microphones and they join the ghost of a baroque guitar and its ancient songs that come out of the strings.
"To carry" / transporting a bygone era / "age" into our present, making it alive again through a carriage and the timeless beauty of its music soul"
